This is a recipe transcribed from my late mother’s hand-written recipe book. As children in the 1970s we thought this was amazing. Our consumption of it was severely limited, as if it was an expensive indulgence. Today? Not so good.
- 115g/1/4lb margarine
- 1 heaped tablespoon sugar
- 2 heaped tablespoon syrup
Melt above ingredients in a saucepan.
- 225g/1/2lb digestive biscuits (broken down with a rolling pin)
- 2 tablespoons drinking chocolate
- 2 tablespoons dried milk
Mix melted ingredients with the dry ones and place in a greased baking tray. When set, cover with melted chocolate.
